Race Day

DO YOU LIMIT THE NUMBER OF RUNNERS IN EACH RACE?
The Half Marathon, 5K & the Kids Mile will be capped as necessary.

WILL YOU HAVE PACERS?
There are no pacers for the Run Pig Sooie events.  Runners will self-seed into corrals based on their anticipated finish time. Corrals with pace signs will be marked in the start chute. The faster runners will be in the front, the slower participants will be in the back.

CAN I HAVE CELL PHONES, FRIENDS, STROLLERS, DOGS ON THE COURSE?
We encourage you to invite friends and family to cheer you on along the course, but they are only allowed to run with you if they are registered runners. Per USA Track & Field rules, elements that could impede the safety of runners, such as bikes, skates, skateboards, strollers and pets on the course, are not allowed. The safety of our runners is our number one priority. By signing or clicking ’I Accept’ on the Run Pig Sooie registration race waiver, you are agreeing to abide by the Rules of Competition.

CAN I WEAR HEADPHONES?
Yes, music devices with headphones are permitted to use on the course; however, participants must be alert to their surroundings at all times and must pay attention to important announcements made at the start and along the course.

WHAT IF I LOSE SOMETHING THE DAY OF THE RACE?
Lost & Found is located in the finish area.  After the event, please contact info@runpigsooie.com to see if items were turned in.  Clothing items left in the start areas and along the course are immediately donated to charity and are not kept in the Lost & Found.

GEAR CHECK

IS THERE A PLACE TO DROP BAGS AT THE START LINE?
Yes.  We will have a gear check near the start area on race morning.  Please make sure your gear is secured in a bag and marked CLEARLY with your bib number.  We will get these bags back to the stadium to be claimed after the event.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY BAG IF I FORGET TO CLAIM IT AFTER THE RACE?
Gear Check closes at 11:30am on race day and all bags must be picked up before that time. Run Pig Sooie is not responsible for gear bags not picked up by 11:30am, however remaining bags will be brought to our office.  Please contact us at info@runpigsooie.com to claim your bag.  After one week, anything remaining is discarded or donated to charity.

PARKING

WHERE SHOULD I PARK ON RACE DAY?
There is plenty of parking for Packet Pickup and Race Day near Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.  Specific Run Pig Sooie Parking guidance will be published in the Athlete Guide available race week.

START & FINISH

WHERE DOES THE RACE START AND FINISH?

WILL THERE BE CORRALS?
Runners will be corralled according to expected finish times with the fastest runners in the front and walkers in the back.  The Half Marathon will start at 7:00am in a wave start fashion and the 5K will start at 7:30am in a wave start fashion.  150-200 runners will be allowed to start approximately every 30 seconds.  Corral assignments will be listed in your race week information email.

WHERE CAN I MEET MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS AFTER THE RACE?
The easiest way to find your family and friends after the race is to have a plan beforehand.  Picking a spot outside the stadium is a good option.
